GarrettG’s Camera Settings vs. Experts’ Opinion

The experts always have something to say, even in the RLC. They have put forward their camera settings to help newer players. However, not all players stick to these settings. After all, camera settings should be based on a player’s preferences.

Has GarettG made any deviations to the norm? Let’s find out in the next few paragraphs.

Ball camera – Players prefer to toggle their ball camera. Why is this so? It is because trying to control it manually can be distracting and difficult. There is also the automatic option but the experts stick with “Toggle.” GarrettG agrees with this as he also uses this option.

Swivel speed – Camera swivel speed determines the speed at which the camera makes turns with your car. Many players to stick to their preferences on this one for better results. The experts seem to set their values between 1.0 and 10.0. GarrettG’s value falls within this range at 4.20. You can try this out or experiment with yours.

Distance – This talks about the real distance between your vehicle and the game cam. The further the camera is from your car, the more of the field space and the ball you will see. Top players set their values between 260 and 320 with an average of about 280. GarrettG sits below this average by a little distance at 270.

FOV – This stands for Field of View and specifies how much width of the field you can see when playing. Higher values give you wider views but this may drop your precision levels. This is why experts set FOV at 100 minimum and may rise to 110. GarrettG sticks with a higher value, 110.
